M1 Carbine Inland – Near Collector Grade
Beautiful M1 Carbine, Inland Division 1st block, barrel date 6-43. Nearly Collector Grade. Early manufacture with 6-digit number. Shows correct horizontal Inland logo on trigger housing, correct HI, RI, 10, and other markings. Correct unmarked type III recoil plate. Condition and agreeing markings make it a near Collector Grade M1 Carbine. Has bayonet lug, bayonet, ramp rear sight, or it would be Collector Grade. Stock and hand guard have correct markings, but cartouche on stock is very light. Markings on steel and wood agree based on R. C. Larson's book "Comprehensive Guide M1 Carbine".
The metal on the barrel, receiver, bolt and all other parts is 95%, but shows slight use wear on corners and bolt slide. The barrel is in excellent condition. Rifling and lands are bright and pronounced. No matching magazine. Has been stored and cared for properly, in a dry southwest climate.
