Smith and Wesson 3rd Model Russian .44 Russian Caliber. This is the commercial model for Domestic (USA) Sales. Barrel length 6 ½”. This revolver bears the factory “Star” on the bottom of the butt indicating Factory refinish. Smith & Wesson offered this service in the 1930’s and later included the date of refinish under the grips. This is “very” pleasing 3rd model Russian with good bore and sharp strong rifling. Hammer and trigger guard have excellent case colors of the early period. Part of the factory refinish.
