Description:
This is a very attractive and unique example of the famous Colt New Line pocket pistol in .22 rimfire.  This particular pistol is serial number 43995.  This small 7-shot single-action Colt revolver features a factory nickel finish with a factory fire-blued hammer, trigger, action screws, cylinder pin, and cylinder pin release button.  It has a beautiful set of genuine Mother of Pearl grips on it that fit this little revolver perfectly.  The barrel of this little Colt revolver is etched on the left side with "Colt New 22", while the top of the barrel and bottom are stamped with the Colt address and patent info.  The barrel is stamped with the serial number just ahead of where it meets the frame under the cylinder pin.  The left side of the frame is stamped "22 Cal" below the cylinder.  The 7-shot cylinder is the long-flute variation with the cylinder stops cut on the rear edge.  The cylinder is stamped with the serial number around the star at the rear which matches the rest of the gun.  As you can see from the pictures, this Colt New Line is a beautiful piece that remains in very good condition overall.  The original factory nickel finish is still bright and attractive, and only shows very minor handling marks with no eyesores or bad spots.  The fire-blued finish on the small parts is also in beautiful shape, bright and clean with little to no actual finish wear. The bore in this Colt is the only "average" part of the gun.  The rifling is still in great shape but it does show some light pitting in spots.  The seven chambers of the cylinder are in good shape with only some very light surface corrosion scattered in spots.  The MOP grips are in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and both grips show a lot of beautiful depth and color.  The action on this antique Colt is in perfect time and locks up tight.  All of the controls are in perfect working order and we have no doubt that it would still function just as reliably today as the day it left the factory over 140 years ago!  If you have been looking for a neat new addition to your antique American arms or antique Colt collection this beautiful little .22 caliber Colt New Line revolver would be an excellent choice.  As an antique, this Colt can be shipped directly to your door.
