Description:
This is a professionally restored Winchester model 04 single shot 22 in short, long and extra long chambering. The candidate chosen for this restoration was in quite nice shape, with decent, but faded bluing that was free of corrosion, nicks or dings. The stock has had a dry crack repaired on the right side below the bolt, where a lot of these had a tendency to crack, but otherwise was free of any other nicks or dings, and fits proud to the metal butt plate. All the metal surfaces have been correctly rust blued as originally done, with clear script and proof marks retained. The 21" barrel has an excellent bore, and carries it's original sight package. The bolt, trigger, and firing pin function as they should. This is a beautiful example of the 04 Winchester that would compliment any collection of boys rifles.
