Description:
This is a limited production Smith & Wesson Model 19-4 made for the Kentucky State Police's 30th Anniversary. This double-action S&W features a factory gloss-blue finish, a pinned 4" inch barrel, a red ramp front sight, an adjustable white-outline rear sight, a target hammer, a target trigger, a six-shot cylinder with counter-bored chambers, and smooth Goncalo Alves target grips. The right side of the gun has a stamped and gold-filled Ky. State Police logo on the frame, and the barrel is stamped "Kentucky State Police 30th Anniversary 1948-1978", also with gold-fill. The left side of the gun is has the usual factory S&W logo, "Unit 1499" stamped and gold-filled on the frame, and "Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum" stamped and gold-filled on the barrel. The gloss blue finish on this Model 19 is excellent, rating 98 to 99%. The only deduction is from a faint drag-line around the cylinder, the rest of the gun looks like-new. The case-colored target hammer and trigger are beautiful and rate 99% like-new, with lots of bright color showing and 100% coverage. The bore in this Smith is minty and mirror-bright with no visible imperfections. The rifling is sharp and looks as-new. The six chambers in the cylinder are equally as minty and pristine. The beautiful and colorful smooth Goncalo Alves factory grips on this gun are in excellent condition. Both sides look like-new and they fit the gun perfectly with no wiggle. The action on this Model 19 is smooth, slick, and perfectly "in time". All of the controls are on this revolver are in perfect working order, and we have no doubt that this Smith will function 100% like the day it left the factory. This is a really attractive Model 19 with a lot of nice features that would be a great addition to any Smith & Wesson or general gun collection.
