German P.38 Semi-Auto Pistol, serial # 879 b, cal. 9 mm, manufactured by Walther, with a 5" barrel and a bright near excellent bore showing some very fine frosting within the grooves. The metal surfaces on this ac 43-coded pistol retain about 85% original blue toning to plum with scattered fine oxidation and pinprick pitting but nothing alarming, the grip straps toning to pale gray. The grooved phenolic resin grips rate near excellent. The markings remain clear and have "(eagle) / 359" Waffenamts, the serialized numbered parts matching and a single "(eagle) / 359" P.38 magazine is included. The overall condition as described and photographed is very good - very good plus.{C&R} Inv. : # 1-1377
