Description:
This is an attractive navy blue serge highland coatee with scarlet stand collar, epaulettes, cuffs, and scarlet piping on the front seam and hanging pockets at the hem. The fabric is in very good condition having some light wear and fraying along the center piping and on the cuffs. The top button is missing from the jacket front, one of the epaulette buttons is missing, and only one of the cuff buttons remains. The flaming bomb insignia on the collar have a dull gray patina but are otherwise in very good condition and there is fraying and a few loose threads around the front buttonholes. The interior of the jacket has a frayed but still very good brown silk lining with traces of dried tar or similar material along the inside of the hem. This is a good plus military coatee and could be improved greatly with the addition of some correct buttons.
