The barrel has an overall lightly freckled pewter gray patina, and has a spring-loaded, flip-up bayonet at the muzzle that has a 2" triangular blade with single fuller on the wide facet. The frame has a typical design motif on the right with a diagonal “LONDON" and floral scroll, and the maker's name on the left: “SOUTHALL". The sliding trigger guard acts as the catch for the bayonet when stowed, and has a freckled gray patina throughout, although the hammer retains some traces of the original bright nitre blue. The bag-shaped walnut grip has some minor handling marks throughout, but is otherwise in very nice shape with few marks or blemishes. The action is tight and fully functional (including the sliding safety bar to the rear of the hammer), as are the bayonet spring and latch. This is a very nice, British-made pocket pistol, and would make a great addition to any collection. Antique SOLD Antique: Yes Manufacturer: British Model: Percussion |
