Description:
Serial #119396, .230 Morris, 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This “J. BLANCH & SON 29 GRACECHURCH, LONDON" marked revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, and barrel, with the metal retaining 80-85% of the original brushed blue finish that has faded or worn to gray along the raised edges, projections, and bearing surfaces. Additionally, there are mild spots of surface freckling on the left side of the barrel and frame that carry over onto the trigger guard and gripstraps. Some further, small areas of pinprick pitting are present on the wide part of the cylinder. The checkered hard rubber grips are in fine shape with some minor flattening of the points as well as a few minor scratches and handling blemishes, mainly towards the butt. The lock-up is tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. These small caliber, .22 and .230 chambered Mk. IV revolvers were consecutively serial numbered in a small group of 50 (both 4" and 6" barrels), and were all apparently retailed by Blanch & Son. This is a great example of a very rare, and desirable Webley model, in very good-fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
