Description:
Winchester Model of 1886 Deluxe Sporting Rifle .45-90 with Factory 26 inch Octagon Barrel and Case Hardened Receiver. The serial number of this example is 548XX placing date of manufacture in 1891. Overall condition is fine with the Barrel and Magazine retaining 85% of the original factory finish 50% blue the remainder toning to a very nice even patina. The bore is near perfect with strong rifling and shine from breech to muzzle. The bore will rate a 9 on a 1 to 10 scale. The Case Colors on the receiver have silvered out with color only found in very small protected areas. The action is tight, smooth and mechanically perfect. Wood to metal fit is perfect sharp Checkering remains on the pistol grip stock and forearm. Gorgoues grain pattern in the 3X Deluxe walnut stock. The stock appears to be Factory hand rubbed oil.
