Shockey was alive, his reputation as a builder of TOP- quality COLT and Remington Rand target pistols - and his reputation continues on! Look at the sights on this gun! The Bomar front sight is very professionally milled as is the rear. This firearm is tight, very-skillfully milled to perfection in fit/finish! It will be a TACK driver!! Signed under the slide R.L. ShockeyThe slide moves with the ULTIMATE in velvety-smoothness (You'll just have to try it to believe it!) Barrel is factory marked "Colt" too! The trigger is amazing. In this case, we honestly believe the trigger pulls the finger...very light, very crisp, absolutely NO drag or creep! ONE fine gun, we assure you! This gun was built to fire the 185 gr. wadcutter and his "WAD" guns were touted as the MOST accurate .45's EVER built on the market! A heavier spring and you can shoot hardball etc. It has the famous "mousetrap" recoil plunger (see photos) his way of a tight barrel lock up! I would put this gun up against any of the customs made today for $3000 and up! Shot very little and showing 98+% original finish. A VERY rare gun climbing in value!. If you want the best shooting .45 you have ever put in your hand this is it. NO Bargain basement price. My basic Colt series 70, .45 platform build to spec gun runs more than the asking price of this gun.
