Description:
Exceptionally nice antique Winchester 1873 Rifle mfg'd in1892., with factory letter. I would place this rifle in the 70-80 percent condition. If it wasn't for the bluing turning a patina color, I would rate it 90 percent. There are no dents or scraps in the wood or metal. There is full color on the entire rifle, with the blue on the receiver turning a brown patina, which would be expected on a 128 year old rifle. The hammer still shows strong case coloring. Most of the screws show no gouging indicasting this rifle was not abused. The brass bullet carrier is in perfect condition. The bore is mildly frosted, but still bright with full rifiling present. The dust cover is tight, which is remarkable for a rifle of this era. THe front sight has a brass blade insert. The rear sight is a winchester buckhorn sight. The only imperfection is a small chip in the stock next to the tang, which will show in the pictures. Returns at buyer's cost. MUST be returned in same condition as received.
