Description:
The gun is excellent. Everything is fine, action, hinge and plating is 99%.The elephant ivory grips/stocks are in perfect shape, no cracks or visible problems other than yellowing with age although they were not on the original gun. I have added photo’s of the original gun as I bought it. I am not a dealer, I priced the gun based on other offerings. If someone is familiar with antique guns any suggestion would be appreciated. According to Flayderman’s Guide to Antique Guns and The Blue Book of Gun Values this is a Model 2, 1868. I have no knowledge regarding the age or origin of the walnut case and because of that I did not add any cost of the Remington for the case or the ivory grips..
I have to include a a copy of the ivory rules that I am offering the Remington under.
