These are nice original 1885 Winchester barrels. One #1, 30” tapered octagon, 38 WCF / 38/40 from an 1885 High wall and one #1, 28” tapered round, 38 WCF / 38/40 from an 1885 Low wall. Both barrels are in good condition and have fair rifling with some pitting. The octagon barrel is slightly better inside and out. Both are good candidates for refurbishing, without damaging the original Winchester markings, and relining in anything from .18 to .410 caliber. Both barrels have the same barrel threads (13/16”) .816-16, in perfect condition, and could go on either type rifle action with the same threads. I will sell them together for $250.00 or separately for $150 each. These would make great off hand barrels for hunting or target. I bought both rifles to restore with presentation wood and #2 barrels and had no need for the original barrels. I also have the original butt stocks and fore ends for these barrels that I will include for free if wanted.
