US Harpers Ferry model 1842, 69 caliber 3 band muzzle loading military musket, dated 1852. Wood stock has good color and is in in good original condition with a 3 inch hairline crack from front lock screw angling up to the barrel. Lock is marked Harpers Ferrry 1852 on the tail with a faint American eagle and US in the center. All metal parts have a smooth dark brown patina. There is some pitting on the tang and in front of the bolster also the top of the nipple is broken. This musket is original, complete and functions.
