UPDATE......Have replaced old rusty, worn nipple with a proper one. See photos. Here is a nice early issue Aston dated 1847 on both lock and barrel. This is a nice untouched original pistol with all the proper inspector's marks . Screws look like they have never been out. Wood is in very good condition. It has a few marks from age and an age crack at the rear lock bolt. Never refinished or sanded and has a good cartouche. Brass is untouched and a pleasing mustard yellow. Metal is a grayish brown patina with good markings. Action is strong with both clicks. It's a good early example at a more than fair price. Antique, can ship direct.
