Description:
Standard configuration rifle with 24 inch full octagon barrel and full length mag tube chambered in 38 WCF caliber. Most all of the thinning original blue remains on barrel and the forend cap. Mag tube is a plum color. Receiver has most all of the original blue with some plum color showing through. Traces of case color on the hammer and lever. Original sights include a German silver front and an early style sporting rear. Crisp action and a bright shiny bore. Wood is good fitting and looks good. There are some handling mars on the stock and a small ding on the left side of the forearm next to the receiver. Crescent style buttplate. Very nice looking Winchester rifle from 1883.
