Chilean Contract Mauser model 1935
Top of front receiver ring has Chilean "Crossed Rifles" crest marked "CHILE" above it, "ORDEN Y PATRIA" and "MODELO 1935" below it, "Mauser Banner" logo on top rear receiver ring. Pre-war commercial proofs of a "Crown G,B,N and U" on right side of receiver. Marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERDORF A/N" on left side wall and "Serie C. Ch. No 847". Protected front sight and graduated 1400 meter rear sight. Walnut stock with hand guard
and "Chilean Crest / 1935 / CaE" circular proof.
The rifle retains a good portion of the bluing with some area's on barrel & receiver thinning, floor plate & trigger guard have a gray patina. Shown in photo is a small area of pitting on barrel & barrel band. Stock is in very nice condition, some minor dents and dings. The markings on the rifle are crisp and clear.
Overall this rifle is in very good condition both mechanically and in appearance.
