Description:
Late 18th to early 19th Century Flintlock pistol. Lock features floral engravings and is marked J. Bishop Warranted a post 1775 Eastern Pennsylvania gun-lock maker. Barrel is of brass and is 7 3/16" in length. Brass trigger guard is also engraved with floral patterns. Walnut stock contains several floral engravings and features and oval German silver thumb piece inlay. Barrel is faintly engraved with the name "Fry". Possible period repair on left side stock opposite of lock.
