Description:
Charles Boswell was a fine gunmaker located in London, England established in 1869. After his passing his son and wife ran the company until 1944. In 1988 the firm was purchased by Charleston, NC Cape Horn International whom sold and manufactured the guns here in the United States. In 2004 the company was acquired by British shooting instructor Chris Batha with American owner Garfield Beckstead. The company continues to build quality firearms using superior craftmanship. This beautiful ejector/sidelock has wonderfully detailed gold highlights of ducks in flight featured on receiver. Beautifully figured high grade walnut is solid showing no cracks but severals dings in wood on left buttstock. Bluing is very good but shows some light wear on muzzle and barrel breach. Bores are excellent! Nitro Proof barrels ring true and lockup is tight. Complete with leather case and accessories!
