Description:
A nice sound Winchester Model 1873 rifle in 38 WCF caliber. Bore is dark with strong rifling. The gun has been refinished and the stock was varnished. Sound wood in stock and some dings on fore-arm. Butt plate with cleaning rod trap. Semi-buckhorn rear sight, Made in 1884. This gun could be greatly improved and value increased greatly by expert refinishing. Loading gate looks new. 24 inch round barrel. Caliber markings were polished off of the cartridge lifter. Screws have not been boogered badly.
