We're listing some 44 magnums today. This was a brand new gun when Richard Nixon was trying to hang on to his Presidency. But if you were trying to buy this gun that year you had a long wait because suddenly everybody wanted to own the "44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world". And if you found one you said "yeah, I feel lucky" as you squinted and plunked down $168 (maybe the full $196 if you wanted the Presentation case too).

Pics tell the story. This is an affordable example from the peak period for these classics.
What's right: This is an all original gun. It is tight and cleans up very nice. Proper vintage, desirable features and barrel length. Shoot it. Enjoy it. The real deal. Nothing to be ashamed of at all.
What's wrong: light Holster wear at muzzle, scuffs on trigger guard, cartridge marks, back tip of grips has been "smoothed down" 1/8" to keep from stabbing you in the love handles, The presentation case has a nice little scratch on the top where one of Rick's kids put the mark of Zorro on it. And the interior flocking evaporated along the way and was replaced with highly desirable "Gun Collector Red Felt".
