Description:
For your consideration is a 1943 WWII German hard shell P.38 holster in excellent condition showing light field use but not abuse.  This is a rare & hard to find "Bearskin Oakleaf 9" holster manufactured by Christof Neuner, Lederfabrik Klagenfurt Austria.

The leather throughout is soft & supple & is in excellent condition.  The exterior shows minor rub wear with some brown showing through but no deep gouges or scrapes in the leather. A hint of surface crackle at the base that is barely visible. The interior shows minor wear & a P.38 was definitely carried in the holster. Nice brown contrasting lift strap that is completely intact. All stitching is tight & completely intact.

The markings on the back of the holster are evident but a bit faint.  The base of the oak leaf has the date 1943. The "Bearskin Oakleaf 9" stamp is a bit faint, as is the P.38 stamp. The Waffenamt eagle is faint but is the proper "WaA938" which corresponds to Christof Neuner.

This is a scarce & desirable holster in fantastic condition. The "Bearskin Oakleaf 9" is one of the most sought-after P.38 hard shell holsters!
