A 1855 US pistol carbine, (dragoon). . . This is the US Springfield Pistol carbine, also referred to as the 1855 dragoon pistol. Actually made in both Springfield and Harpers Ferry arsenals. Were carried by mounted US units from the 1850's right into the American Civil War. Although this pistol was never produced in huge numbers, due to the popularity of the revolver, many US and Confederate cavalry still used them throughout the conflict. This Navy Arms pistol is hard to find. Lock works well.and the .58 cal bore is still blue and very clean.not sure if this was ever fired. Full blue barrel and color case hardened lock, and the ram-rod ball with a pin through it needs to be attached to the front swivel, but is complete..This one came my way without an attachable stock. Made by Antonio Zoli this is very well made. Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
