It seems that following the victory over Japan and the end of the war, all of the large military contracts were immediately canceled leaving Colt with a sizable inventory of parts. Rather than waste them, these military-style components were worked into the early post-war commercial production. This pistol has several of these WWII era military components including the 5-groove slide stop, checkered hammer, checkered safety, military .080" front sight, and military plastic stocks. This package comes with one (1) 7 round magazine, a brush, and the original box. The overall condition is excellent with 100% blueing and little to no handling marks.
