Initiated by Texan Cole Agee, cattle brand engraved Single Action Colt's represent a unique type of collectable firearm. At the request of a admirer, Mr. Agee undertook the challenge of engraving a Peacemaker using only cattle brands of Texas ranches, such as the "101", "XIT" (ten in Texas) and "XO", to name a few. After his death in the 1940's, others followed his lead, but since very few are signed by the engraver, we do not know who engraved this gun. We do know that it has a great look, beautifully aged stag grips, and has a lot of character. The numbers are mixed, but it is an antique black powder frame, made in 1883.
