Serial #271249, 20" barrel, just about as close to new as a 95-year-old rifle gets. Clean and bright bore that seems to have been shot very little. Very strong, original bluing with only a little high edge wear in a few spots. Excellent wood with original finish that would appear to be the "extra varnish" option Savage offered. Savage didn't offer better quality wood with this option, but in my experience they actually did take care to select a bit nicer wood. (I have a couple of others from this period that are similar to this, while others are not.) A few little bumps and bruises here and there but overall not too far off new condition. Nearly all the case coloring is intact and the action is nice and tight. No extra holes (ever) and no conservation or "restoration" work has been done. Numbers match. This one is still much as it left the factory.
I will accept payment via postal money order or personal check, although in the latter case shipment to your FFL may be delayed a little until the check clears. C&R is fine too. Shipping will be $25 to the lower 48.
