FINE CONDITION EARLY 1892 .38-40 OCTAGON RIFLE #1165XXX This is a really attractive rifle showing fine deep barrel and mag blue with only minor edge wear and a little freckling toward the muzzle with even the forend cap showing most of the blue. The receiver shows good slightly thinning blue on the side panels with normal plum mixing mainly on the edges and fine blue on the bolt and loading gate. Screws look unturned. Fine+ butt stock and forend showing very light handling only and very tight wood to metal fit. Original buckhorn rear sight with Winchester blade front sight. Bore is bright with only the most minor of scattered very surface roughness that might brush out or shot out. Sharp appearance.
