1951 SMITH & WESSON K38 K-38 COMBAT MASTERPIECE PRE-MODEL 15 .38 SPECIAL 4" BLUE REVOLVER. 2nd year of production for the Combat Masterpiece and this one all matching with numbers on cylinder, frame butt, crane and barrel. Grips are S&W Medallion diamonds and oversized for larger hand(originals tended to be too small for practical use). 5 screw frame. Pinned barrel with serrated rib. Adjustable rear sight with quick draw front(correct). Original factory blue at 90% overall with. Case colors still on hammer and trigger. Short throw hammer correct. Destined to become the Model 15 as of 1957.
