Up for your consideration is one of the best examples of a Swiss Vetterli we have ever seen! This gun is 140 years old and looks like it was manufactured yesterday. These Vetterli rifles are very desirable among-st collectors and military fans alike. The unique and revolutionary design of this gun would allow it to be used by the Swiss military until the Schmidt Reuben rifle was introduced. With a massive 31in barrel, and weighing in at over 10 pounds it commands a room and demands attention. The gun is no exception. Chambered in the 10.4×38mm Swiss Rimfire cartridge, it is truly a unique and interesting collectors item. There are none finer than this one, with the wood being in excellent condition with light handling marks, but no cracks or gouges, metal condition is just as excellent with only some slight thinning near the muzzle and light plumming on the bolt. The gun is all matching numbers less the bolt which matches itself entirely. The bore is stunning. It is the cleanest we've seen on a gun of this age, let alone a military gun.
