Description:
A nice uncleaned rifle serial #12x,xxx. with minor dents in stock and frame. Smooth brown patina and a slot cut in rear of frame for a sight. Don't know if Winchester or a professional gunsmith did this. A very good and nice Winchester rifle. The screw in the bottom of side plate won't stay in place as front sideplate most likely stripped. Action is excellent.The caliber is 44-40 with a good bore and 24" barrel. Side plates are tight.
