Description:
Good shooting old antique Marlin with lots of special order features to include takedown, 1/2 round 1/2 octagon, half magazine, deluxe checkered wood. Receiver is case colored with lots of case color left and barrel blue turning brown. No rust or issues with the wood or metal, good marlin buttplate, likely hard rubber, and a repaired chip at the toe, which looks like the origional chip. Gun has a Lyman tang sight, likely added later, seems to be pretty well on target, see the 50yd 3shot group with 86gr lead gas check bullets. Bore appears bright and shiny up front with areas of erosion/corrosion forward of the throat, barrel is 24 inches long. Gun functions perfectly. Need $60 insured shipping to lower 48. Will ship broken down to avoid stock damage. Serial # is 127,4xx manufactured approximately 1895 or 125 years old. Sorry- we have a sale pending and I believe it is sold.. Thanks for looking..
