1851 Colt Navy Army Contract mfd in 1857. All markings are crisp and clear including both the cartouches and various inspection stamps. This is one of the finest pre Civil War Navies you will find. All metal is smooth with no pitting. Military blue is present over most of barrel and cylinder but fading. Case colors are muted. Cylinder scene is slightly worn but still 100% legible.
Right grip has small ding near cartouche and there is some discoloration in the forward part of cylinder chambers which can be easily cleaned up.
The revolver is mechanically sound, indexes and holds at full and half cock.
Excellent addition to any Civil War or Martial Arms Collection.
Look around. You will not find one as nice as this.
