<<SOLD>>>This is a very fine mid-19th century double barrel percussion pistol chambered for the .41 caliber. Blue is about 100% and the European stock is very clean, with about all it's varnish. The 2 7/8" barrels have oxidized bores, with a few areas/patches of pits, but mostly good. Both hammers work good, and they are stiff from non-use. These were used by Confederate spies during the Civil War. Overall length is about 7 1/2" . The sides of the frame flats have chisel engraving. There are very small proofs under the barrel, can't read them but can read a crown over a P on the under side of a barrel, and the typical LIEAGE in an oval on the left side. This fine gun looks lke about new, with perfect grip finish, and maybe original factory blue. Action is crisp, maybe not fired as the nipples are not mashed, and are clean..Where can you find one this clean? . Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
