The barrel date on this Remington is 9-18. The rifle's serial number is 561704. This Remington is in unissued condition! All of the parts are Remington coded. There is no mixed parts at all. All of the parts and the gun itself have all of the original bluing fully intact. The only light blue loss is on the bolt from working the action. The bluing has that deep lusture look. The factory bluing would rate 100% overall! The bore is minty and bright. The stock and handguards are as new condition! The original finish makes the wood really stand out! There is no blemishes to the wood. The buttplate has the cleaning and oiler tube in the trap door. The Remington bayonet is in new condition. It is U.S. marked and dated 1918. The leather and steel scabbard is also unissued and is made by Jewell and dated 1918. This is a complete as new from the factory rifle. It would be extremely difficult to top this Remington Model 1917 rifle in any way! This rifle would be a real show piece in any collection! Search for hlvfineguns for more details.
