Ubu Wakizashi This is an ubu wakizashi in polish, that is inscribed: Oite Dewa Kuni – Fujiwara Masa Hide Tsukuru Kore. The reverse is inscribed: An-Ei Ruko Nen Hachi Gatsu Jitsu. This translates to Masa Hide forged this blade in Dewa province in August of 1776. The hada is a wide, shallow notare (wave) with a very long turn back. It comes in shirasaya with Saya Gaki and copper habaki.
