Description:
.410 Bore, 3″ Chambers. 000 Frame. 26″ Bbls marked with Parker address and “Whitworth Steel” on rib. Rear lump is marked “410 X 000”. Breech ends of bbls have 3″ triangles of scroll engraving. Case hardened action has “VH” markings on water table. Action is engraved in “A 1 Special” style with small scroll surrounding floral bouquets on each side, with other bouquets on trigger plate. “Parker Bros” is inlaid in gold on bottom of action. Trigger has been gold-plated. Blued trigger guard has matching scroll engraving. Beautifully figured American walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14-1/4″ over engraved skeleton steel buttplate, and is checkered. Matching splinter ejector forend has flat steel tip. Bore restrictions: left -.010, right -.008. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. LOP: 14-1/4″. CONDITION: Excellent, as completely refurbished, retaining essentially all of its new custom finishes on wood and metal, with only a few minor handling marks. Bores are very fine. Action is tight. Mechanics are excellent.
