Here's a really nice custom No.1 that is beautiful yet still a tough no nonsense big game rifle.
Case colored action and grip cap with what I refer to as stormy colors, not over done or too colorful.
Quarter rib and lever were left black.
Barrel finish is great other than blue wear around the front sight band.
Stocked in a rich dark walnut with fine checkering and a shadowline cheek piece. Professionally bedded and has very few handling marks.
Weighing just a bit over 8lbs which is right at original weight for a 450/400 No.1 (with the normal barrel contour - a few had a much heavier barrel) but the 3/4" Decelerator pad on this one helps in the recoil dept.
Bore is as new. 24" barrel.
