Description:
A unique Camp Perry 8" barrel (uncommon) Camp Perry single shot target pistol that dates to 1941. Most of the Camp Perry’s made had the 10” barrel however Colt did build about 350, of the 2500 made, with an 8” barrel. The Camp Perry single shot target pistol was famous for its accuracy at the Camp Perry matches in Camp Perry, Ohio as well as other various competition matches during the 1920's-1940's. It was also used at the Olympics to garner several medals by the United States Olympic Teams. The gun comes in a period travel case with various shooting medals, along with a Colt factory letter. The factory letter shows that the gun was made in 1939 and shipped in 1941 to a local target shooter in Hartford, CT. The gun remains in high condition and the bore is excellent. The gun does not look like it has been fired very much and the bore is excellent. The original checkered walnut grips are in perfect condition. Certainly, a gun that would fit in at the best collection. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
