Description:
Great looking 66 saddle ring carbine is available from a recent estate collection. This collection was meticuously cared for in its handling and storage for over 50 years. The stock and forearm on this carbine are in very good condition with no cracks or checking. The forearm has an impression on both sides in front of the barrel band, probably from band barrel removal at some point. Stock sports the original 3-piece cleaning rod. All markings are clear and legible on this gun. The bore is clean with visible good rifling present throughout the bore. This carbine is in excellent mechanical condition and the action is tight and crisp. Barrel and barrel bands have aged to a medium gray patina with little to no bluing present. Gorgeous saddle ring carbine.
