#4857 Whitney Navy revolver, Second Variation, 7-1/2”x36cal percussion revolver, cased with accessories. This Civil War era revolver has been expertly restored to almost “as new” condition with brilliant casehardening, bright crystal blue, and excellent original walnut grips. There is about 95% of this excellent refinish remaining. It must have been a near unused revolver that the finish simply flaked off and the owner sought to have it look new again since the metal is so crisp with razor-sharp edges and fine barrel address. The case looks to be an original casing but possibly relined a long time ago and it looks to be able to be mated with many other Navy sized revolvers. It has a refinished Colt Navy bullet mold as well as a military motif’ large flask, an Ely cap tin (empty), and a few cast lead bullets, The walnut case locking key is missing, it has a crack in the lid and some minor staining, but is sound and in VG condition otherwise. Overall this is a VERY inexpensive casing of a much less common secondary martial revolver! About excellent as described. $2595
