Description:
Beautiful 270 Featherweight with the often hard to find aluminum buttplate and a VERY rare front sight ramp! This particular ramp is known as a #5 ramp and was an experimental type with a unique cross-hatched pattern embossed on it's top. It was used by Winchester on only a handful of rifles during the mid 1950s. I have seen only one other example which happened to be another Featherweight of similar vintage. S/N 364*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1956. 98% Blue, 96-97% Varnish with a few light marks. 22" barrel. Mirror bore and great mechanical function. All original components and finishes. A very desirable collector piece in one of the most versatile and popular calibers ever.
