<<<<SOLD>>> A good working English hammer double 10 ga Civil War era shotgun, with good action. Hammers are matched , and work well, and the nipples are very clean and complete. The top of the bareel has gold inlay: LONDON LAMINATED STEEL.The barels are original length os 27 1/2" and have chokes of left tube measures about .705' and the right tube measures about .680" .Gun has external matel coloring of some blue, but mostly brown patina , with engraved rame and trigger guard. "Perkins", probably George Perkoins listed as gun maker at 9 Lancaster Street, London 1857-1861, as found in the book recently published "CONFEDERATE SOUTHERN AGENT MARKED SSHOTGUNS" . The English walnut stock is finely hand checkered and the checkering is still defined and sharp , with a fine stress/age crack. from the top tang forward to the lock edge as seen in photo of the right side. but this may have been repaired long ago, and is now solid. Comes with a hardwood ram-rod with a brass tip..Overall a very nice gun for display or re-enact ment. Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice! When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
