Description:
A very nice early Lefever pre-Ithaca made 12ga side lock double shotgun with very clean shiny bores on the 27" barrels . The barrels are touching each other at the muzzle, so these may be original length? Left tube has a choke of : .697", and the right tube has a choke of about: .690". Matching barrels, forend and receiver SN 51561. The original American black walnut stocks are good , with much of the original hand checkering sharp and intact.A splotch of corrosion on the right recoil shield, and there are finger print sized splotches on the barrel of mild corrosion, mostly along the right tube. Both internal hammers snap, not sure how this quality shotgun would fire. The cocking indicators remain cocked even after fired, can see firingf pins, possibly they need firing pin springs,, So this is sold as is, and may be adusting, or repair LOP with the original factory black hard rubber butt-pad is about 14 3/8". Has a front silver bead sight. A grand ole' shotgun from early in the 20th century. . Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice!
