This contemporary engraved .32/20 Single Action Colt was manufactured in 1884, the first year this caliber was made available as a companion to the 1873 Winchester rifle in the same .32 WCF, or .32/20 caliber. It is engraved in the Cuno Helfricht style, and is fitted with a pair of steer head carved ivory grips. It has been reblued after it was engraved, but has an excellent bore and a tight action. The engraving is very well done, and is an exact copy of Helfrecht's style from that 1884 period. Except for the ivory grips and the replaced trigger, all parts appear to be original to the date of manufacture. it is an attractive antique and should be a great shooter.
