Description:
This posting is for a pair of Smith & Wesson 2nd Model 1 1/2's, one blue and one nickel. S&W made their Model 1 1/2's from 1865 through 1875 as a pocket version of their Model #2 Army. They will ship with their FACTORY LETTERS and an awesome "French-fit" custom lockable oak case, scrimshawed 2" round pre-ban ivory plaque inlaid on the case lid, pre-ban ivory handled cleaning rod, brush and screwdriver, a silver oiler, pre-ban ivory knob on the covered compartment, each has pre-ban solid ivory grips in addition to their original factory grips, and an original period empty ammo box. This cased set of S&W pistols can be found in the 2nd Edition of "The Civil War and the Firearms Trade", pages 333, 334. The case measures 13 1/2" X 8 1/2" X 3". The ammo in the bullet block is not included, as per government regulations.
