Description:
A vintage Colt Police Positive made about 1920 with SN 1621XX, with a very clean shiny 4" reifled bore, and lock is tight. Colt early black hard rubber grips are very good with sharp detail and very little field use. The bottom of the grip has the number :12879 obviously a police stamped identification, as this gun came from an old vermont estate , but could have been a New York state issued revolver also. No, sorry Bernie's Grandmother didn't use this to shoot rats in the celler..The cylinder are clean alos on this sservice used gun. Exterior original blue is about 85% with wear at the very tip of the muzzle from being holstered, and the grips straps are more turned to brownish. This fine service giu chambers the .38 S&W caliber used on early Police issued guns. Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice!
