original WWII British Sniper Scope with Steel Case, Leather Lens Covers & Carry Strap, the scope is manufactured marked AK&S and numbered 16979 also dated 1944 with Broad Arrow marking, the optics are clear, the mount is original and numbered N 35014 the mounting rings are numbered 257 and 258, the brown leather lens covers are soft and pliable. The case is marked CASE, STG.TEL. No8, B&Co dated 1941., and Broad Arrow Stamped, case measures 12” long, x 2 1/2” high x 4 1/4” deep, case is complete with carrying strap, hinges and latches are in excellent condition, case is numbered for rifle # N 34689 and scope # 16979. The carry strap is a soft brown leather strap measuring 1” W x 60 7/8” from tip to end of the brass buckle, this strap is made for use with the metal can which holds the sniper scope when not mounted to the rifle, The overall condition as described and photographed is very good plus – very good plus plus.
