This Spingfield Garand M-1 was mfg abt 12/43. It is an excellent and original example of a non - arsenal Garand. It has all of it's issued period type parts
except for the T-5 Follower Rd which is a period correct part (WW II). The parts have a matching olive gray parkerizing contrast, another indicator of an original
period type Garand. The operating rod is uncut and excellent
The stock (About 97%) has the correct "SA/GAW" cartouche w/the correct size "Cross Cannons" adjacent it & there are a few very small handling marks
located by the R Front and by the circled "P" proof mark. The front and rear handguards are similar.
The action is normal and tight. It cycles perfectly.The rear sight has the correct closed arrow both height and elevation knurled knobs. It functions normally.
It to me is an overal "NRA - Excellent" The bore mea "1',The Throat - "3'.
