Description:
An excellent example of a first model Colt Detective Special in .38 Special from 1947. The gun remains in very good condition with just a little wear at the muzzle and a slight turn line. It comes in the original box with paperwork and Colt factory letter. The gun was shipped to Edwards & Walker Company in Portland, Maine on July 11th,1947 as a one gun shipment. The action and bore are like new. The original checkered walnut grips are excellent and show almost no wear. This is the second variation of the first model and has the round butt frame. The early post-war box with the baby blue label is correct and in very good overall condition. I offer a three day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
